UPDATED ADDRESS: Join us for a sweet opportunity to try ranked-choice voting and some great desserts in Edison on January 5th at 3PM: https://t.co/pCaGe06dQR
Huge win! @GavinNewsom just signed #SB1053 to #BanTheBag! For years, students have been working to end the plastic waste crisis, and this is a huge step for cleaner communities and oceans. 🌊🐢
Thank you for your leadership @SenBlakespear@BauerKahan
yet another great example of why #RankedChoiceVoting is such a great way to approach politics/elections - people are naturally inclined to rank their options & we all have more depth to our feelings than just arguing for one candidate/against another
I should note that before I deep dived on all of this, my order was Shapiro, Cooper, Kelly, Beshear. So it’s clearly still fluid for me.
I’m also genuinely fine with any of them. If you had the reverse order of what I had here, I totally get it.
Pretty good bench!
Last fall I drove my EV to a West Virginia state park- a great getaway made even better by their EV charging station. Our latest resource shows state and national parks with EV charging: https://t.co/glPNYtMrCj
The Menendez verdict is yet another reminder of why we need a voting system that promotes accountability to voters vs one that breeds corruption. Here's how #RankedChoiceVoting does just that
Corruption is in the news (again) in New Jersey. We need a stronger democracy to empower voters to punish corruption at the ballot box: https://t.co/IDDUxL78Sp

Sen. Sarlo on opposition to the public records bill: “It’s about how much attorneys will get paid when requesting records.”
They don’t get paid to request records. They get paid when a judge finds towns withhold public records illegally.
S2930/A4045 is an attack on the public's right to PUBLIC records. An amended version of the legislation is scheduled to be heard Thursday, May 9. The amendments DO NOT protect OPRA or public access. We need your help- tell your legislators to vote NO: https://t.co/KeHqLYw0bl
No journalist should be punished for publishing the truth about government officials.
New Jersey’s appeals court got it wrong in dismissing @Charlie4Change’s lawsuit challenging the state’s Daniel’s Law.https://t.co/jgSQ1x8OWd
Students should be able to choose how they spend their financial aid dollars on books & supplies.
That’s why we sent a letter urging @usedgov to finalize changes that would eliminate a college's ability to bill students for materials without their say so.
@HudsonCoView I am cosponsoring @AndrewZwicker’s ranked-choice voting bill in the Senate, and my district mate @JPA07030 is the lead sponsor in the Assembly. Let’s make our democracy more equitable by giving voters more optionality, and let’s make our elections more civil.
The RCV trigger ordinance passes in #JerseyCity 🗳️ I applaud the JC Council for taking a bold step towards reshaping the future of elections in NJ for the better, esp. @EducationalGil1 and @SolomonforJC. Thank you to all the supporters who raised their voice to rank their vote!
1/2) I’m so proud that the JC Council just passed Councilman Gilmore & my trigger ordinance for Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV)! To be clear, the fight for RCV is NOT over. Our next step - push the state legislature to legalize RCV so that JC voters can adopt it via referendum.
IT PASSED!!!! The #JerseyCity council passed the #RankedChoiceVoting ordinance (7 in favor, 1 abstain) 🥳Great work by Councilman Gilmore and Councilman Solomon and ESPECIALLY by @VoterChoiceNJ & all the local community groups that came out in droves to support this!!!
@mdasilva1563@christineadair@StevenFulop@SolomonforJC Yes! The bill in the legislature is called the Municipal and School Board Voting Options Act, S1622 in the Senate (sponsored by Senator Andrew Zwicker) and A4042 in the Assembly (sponsored by Assemblyman John Allen, who is the rep for LD32 which covers JC and Hoboken)
@NJShawnMc I would love to talk with you more about Bayonne - we need local action bubbling up everywhere, and I bet @VoterChoiceNJ would be able to help you get started!
Tomorrow, there is a trigger ordinance on the #JerseyCity Council agenda from Councilman Gilmore and @SolomonforJC . It is important as it sends a message that NJ’s largest municipalities support this change. Supporting ranked-choice voting is the natural next step to enhance democracy in New Jersey. I have been a vocal advocate of ranked-choice voting from the start as it directly aligns with my beliefs and efforts towards a more inclusive and representative democracy.
