We’ve seen that CARE Court is effective but the data show that few people are getting to it or entering treatment, after being processed by the court. That's why I authored #SB989 and #SB1016. They help provide the access to mental health treatment that is needed by many to stabilize their lives and quit living on the streets and frequenting emergency rooms and local clinics. Glad that the Senate has approved both bills. @NAMICommunicate@CAFirefighters Read more. https://t.co/FWnT06a65v
Many sectors of the energy industry are required to plan for what happens if they close their facilities. So should oil refineries. That's why I authored #SB1259. I am glad to report that the Senate passed the bill today. @APEN4EJ@CBECal@cejapower Read more. https://t.co/dDhJ487BE7

This morning, #TeamBlakespear gathered to honor the men and women who paid the ultimate price in defense of our country — including Mission Viejo’s own Major Megan McClung.
My thanks to the City of Mission Viejo, Colonel Charles “Clay” Readinger, the San Diego Veterans Honor Color Guard, and all who organized today’s tribute.
Today, we honor, we express gratitude, and we are deeply indebted to the brave men and women who sacrificed everything so we could live freely. 🇺🇸
I am proud to represent members of the military and their families across San Diego and Orange counties. On #MemorialDay‚ we honor and remember the sacrifices made by all those who died serving our great nation in the United States Armed Forces. We would not be the country that we are‚ or enjoy the freedoms that we have‚ without their dedication and willingness to risk their own lives for it.
I’m proclaiming a state of emergency in Orange County as California continues to respond to the hazardous chemical incident in Garden Grove.
@Cal_OES has been mobilized for over 24 hours and state agencies are supporting impacted communities to protect public safety, and assist local officials as response efforts continue.
Please continue to follow guidance from emergency officials.

Great to talk to @CalTransit today about the big challenges we currently face in public transportation and the need to improve service, build ridership and come up with a stable, long-term plan for funding. We have to make this a top priority! The success of public transit is crucial for CA to meet its climate and mobility goals.
I enjoyed participating in a discussion about Alzheimer's disease and advancements made in diagnosing and treating it. CA's population is aging, and this disease afflicts more than 720,000 people in our state. We must step up and provide greater support to seniors, caregivers and all those coping with Alzheimer's and dementia. @EliLillyandCo
