A pleasure to participate in the 2026 Land Fair and join colleagues in briefing the Hon’ble Prime Minister of 🇧🇩 on joint efforts by the Ministry of Land and @UNDP to digitize land records in #Bangladesh - key to strengthening transparency and service delivery. Encouraged also by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s positive assessment of the Village Courts programme, supported by @UNDP_BD and the @EUinBangladesh, in helping reduce local conflict and expand access to justice.

Pakistan’s recurring floods are development setbacks, climate wake-up calls, and human tragedies; with over 6.5 million people affected this year alone.
As disasters get more frequent and harsher, the responses have to get ahead, get quicker and get stronger. @UNDP_Pakistan’s response is rooted in the belief that resilience to overcome is built with and by those most affected. So, this is not a one-off.
From restoring livelihoods and disaster-ready housing to strengthening local preparedness and governance, this is long-term, inclusive, climate-smart recovery at work.

It has been a year since severe floods hit 11 districts in Eastern Bangladesh, displacing nearly half a million people and affecting over 5.8 million.
Recovery is rebuilding homes, restarting small businesses, reconstructing schools, playgrounds water systems, clinics....And yes, preparing for future shocks.
A year on, @UNDP_BD and partners @jica_direct_en @SwedeninBD are walking this build-back with communities. Training and technical support on management, with finance and logistics, has put women at the center of a hands-on recovery. See them redefine the "build back better" adage!
