Really excited to be presenting our work on the development of a Best Practice Model for dementia crisis working at the 2018 Alzheimer Europe conference #28AEC
We hope everyone has had a good summer and enjoyed the warm weather. We have been very busy here at AQUEDUCT! We are currently putting together our feasibility protocol and looking for teams that manage dementia crises who would like to be involved.
Heard all about this great initiative from our lovely friend Joy when we were doing a field testing day t'other week. Emma got to meet Mr Alzheimer's for real :) https://t.co/O1sRBJrDuq
well the #BeastFromTheEast and #StormEmma have put paid to one of our Field Testing Review Day visits tomorrow - such a shame to have to rearrange but safety comes first. We're still pretty much halfway through our Field Testing schedule though hurrah
@DiscoveringOT Thank you so much for helping us! Having a clinician with an insider perspective is vital to testing our measure of best practice with other teams so we couldn't do it without you
We are now well into our Fidelity Measure Field Testing review day schedule with four days complete, 13 to go! Our days have taken us all over England so far and we've been enjoying finding out about best practice in different places

Today Miriam and Emma have headed east for the second of our Field Testing Review days! Going into a team to see if our Fidelity Measure works and what we can improve on it 👍🏻 they’re ably assisted by our peer researcher Marianne 🔍📋
Today is our first field testing review day to see if the fidelity measure that we have developed is workable and captures the essence of crisis team working 📋🔍
Phew, despite a bit of wrangling with the tech at the start, our online training seems to have gone pretty well! We'll be running it again for other reviewers who couldn't make it :)
Looking forward to 'seeing' some of our clinical reviewers in our online meeting room in the first wave of this training. We're showing our clinical reviewers what the Field Testing Review Days involve ready for our first one on Thursday!
Getting prepared to deliver some online training next week for our clinical reviewers that will be coming with us on our Field Testing Review days. We're using a virtual meeting room to ensure everyone can be there from wherever they are based and it's pretty exciting!
Today was our co-applicants meeting, which we have every 6 months to discuss what we've been up to and where we're headed next. Lots of positive chat and ideas around our resource kit - what is might look like and the format it might take
We had a fantastic day working with out PPI members to explain how we will be field testing our Fidelity Measure. The field testing is to check how well the Fidelity Measure works and will be carried out by 3 raters - a member of PPI, a clinician, and one of our research team
Yesterday Miriam and Jen also caught up with Rebekah, who was part of the Aqueduct team for about a year. Rebekah graduated with an MSc in Mental Health Research, congratulations!
Our Research Assistant Emma (in the middle) graduated with an MSc in Rehabilitation Psychology today at @UniofNottingham and Fellows Jen and Miriam went to go join in the graduation fun 🎓🎉🥂congratulations Emma!
