I love how Outlook deletes meeting emails the moment I hit accept. It’s a genius idea, because obviously I’ll never need the agenda, Zoom link, meeting details, or literally anything else from that email again. Truly incredible software.
The Two-Pot System is fascinating when you really think about it.
Government says you can’t freely access your retirement money because it must protect you from making bad financial decisions.
Fair enough. But if you’re financially desperate and withdraw the little they DO allow you to access, SARS immediately wants tax from it. So apparently you’re not responsible enough to decide what to do with your own retirement money… but you’re responsible enough to fund the state from it. Your money is protected from you, not from the taxman. That’s the part nobody talks about.
SARS takes up to 45% of what we earn, then we pay 15% VAT on almost everything we buy. Inflation eats whatever we manage to save, municipal rates & levies come for the property we already own, and fuel levies are waiting every time we fill up. At this point South Africans aren’t citizens, we’re shareholders with no dividends
These price cuts are bullshit.
A massive drop in global oil prices and a stronger rand created a huge over-recovery, but the government is clawing back most of the temporary relief it gave earlier with its bullshit levies.
The market is handing motorists a proper win, and the government has decided to take the W for itself.
We did our part.
We pay our taxes, pay our municipal bills, even pay our traffic fines.
The tank is empty because of government ineptitude, poor policies, and cadres who use their political power to steal from the state.
the prosecutor who sent him behind bars said he was innocent. the victim's family said he was innocent. hundreds of people who knew the case said he was innocent. all of those pleads fell on deaf ears
