So for the second time, Lindsay Hoyle has used the parliamentary rules to block an SNP motion regarding Israel and Gaza and a ceasefire. First time around he bent the rules for Labour to screw them over, this time he uses the rules to get himself off the hook over a motion he himself offered the SNP!
Parliament is an absolute sewer of corruption and the calls for Hoyle to go, having lost the confidence not just of MPs but the public too grow louder. The problem is, his likely successor, Chris Bryant, is one of those who was involved in the shenanigans to give Starmer the chance to 'convince' Hoyle to let Labour's rule breaking amendment through last week, so how can we have any more trust inb him as a possible Speaker? #DamoRants #HoyleOut
