Evil Dead was never meant to be goofy or horror comedy, Sam Raimi's intention with the original and his intention with the new movies are to deliver the sensation he wanted to evoke with the first movie, so yeah..

Evil Dead Burn had me convinced it was gonna be a fun movie for a minute, and then it did what all of the new Evil Dead movies do and entirely concerned itself in being as gray and boring as possible. I really miss when these films (or even the shitty tv show) were goofy!!

Having just watched EVIL DEAD BURN for the second time, I’m comfortable saying it might break into the top 3 in my franchise ranking. It’s definitely in my top 4.

The Deadite sequences are truly something special because of Sébastien Vaniček’s direction and Philip Lozano’s cinematography.

I’m sorry but the negative criticisms of Burn are annoying me bc they make no sense, in what way were these deadites not similar to how deadites act? They were literally the meanest in this movie, even meaner than in the OG. The acting was phenomenal. And saying that a bunch of
