Cancer drug prices in India could fall by 70% as the government plans to cap trade margins.

The move seeks to address excessive trade mark-ups and make some of the country's most expensive medicines more affordable.

Durga, Bijuli, Shiva, Hiralal and Rup sing were moved from Assam to temples and religious institutions in Tamil Nadu. Now 53 animal welfare, wildlife and conservation organisations are asking the state government for answers.

Were these five young elephants gifted, donated or bought? Do their ownership, age and transfer records match? Were their health and welfare independently assessed?

Verify the five before allowing any more transfers. Their lives deserve accountability.
