We are now more than a decade into the social media age. Vast AI systems informed by teams of scientists and swarms of marketers have been observing quadrillions of interactions between billions of people across myriad scenarios.
Remember COVID? Memory is a precious resource, particularly during an era of Crisis. My proposition: while in a certain fashion each of these crises are unique, in a deeper sense, they are all foreshocks of a larger (meta) crisis. Ukraine, in my estimation, is still only
Novelty. Consider how far the world moved between Jan 2020 and Feb 2022 and put that on an accelerating curve. There are likely many more shoes to drop. Remember.
The cyber attack that has rendered the largest international logistics company in the U.S. totally non-operational since last Sunday seems under-reported.
We can be confident that when a major distraction occurs “over there” that many other things will be taking advantage of the distraction. Put on polarized glasses and filter out Ukraine. What else is going on that seems to be using the Ukraine distraction as “cover”?
This is related to my previous diffuse awareness tweet but makes a different point. We know that many things benefit from being unseen or, at least unattended. It is SOP to take advantage of distraction or confusion when managing a strategy that benefits from stealth. Thus,
"Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

I remember being hungry and cold. But do Russians want to suffer for Putin? Because Ukrainians - well, they're suffering for Zelenskiy. They're suffering for themselves. They're fighting for freedom. They're fighting for an ideology. 31/?
The thing about Slavs is, as I said, we know how to suffer. We are used to it. Famine, war, death - these are not hypothetical things to us. I was born in Ukraine in 1985 and in my lifetime I remember empty shelves, I remember the gas only running an hour or two a day. 30/?
We ended up deciding to purchase v1 ape #4178. I never thought we'd be able to say that we owned an ape, but here we are! Many thanks to @straybits1, and best wishes to the new owners of zombie #5234. 8 billion people, only 20k CryptoPunks!
