@obadipeemmanuel@Imranmuhdz It is not our money. The gesture is being facilitated through her charity organization. Get out of here with your ignorant bullshit
@GinjarTV@ayowisdom_@drhcimci My brother, lack of concern for asthetics seems to be one of our problems. Shey you see our roads? No lane markings. Abi you see our building desings too? Abeg o no blame me for caring
I am happy to report that the Federal Executive Council today approved the comprehensive reform of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), the first holistic review of the Scheme in its 53-year history.
For over five decades, the NYSC has remained a powerful symbol of national unity and service. Today, we have taken a bold step to preserve that legacy while preparing it for the future. We are transforming the Scheme into a platform that not only unites Nigeria but also equips our young people with the skills, experience and opportunities they need to thrive in a fast-changing world.
The approved reforms will reposition the NYSC as a skills-driven, productivity-focused and youth-empowering institution that aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's vision of building a $1 trillion economy.
Some of the landmark reforms include:
1. A technology-driven call-up process.
2. Risk-sensitive deployment to better protect corps members.
3. A redesigned six-week orientation programme with stronger focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, digital skills and specialised career streams.
4. Skills-based primary assignments aligned with academic background and career pathways.
5. Modern governance with civilian operational leadership while the military continues to provide security support.
6. Improved camp standards through a national grading and certification system.
7. A new graduation ceremony to replace Passing Out Parade, and redesigned NYSC uniform that reflect professionalism and national pride.
This reform journey began in 2025 through a broad-based, multi-stakeholder review involving the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the Federal Ministry of Education and the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination.
Today, that hard work has received the endorsement of the Federal Executive Council.
Council also directed the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development to commence the amendment of the NYSC Act and its regulations to give legal effect to these reforms and enable their implementation.
This is more than a reform of an institution. It is an investment in Nigeria's greatest asset, our young people. The future of the NYSC begins now, and it is brighter, more relevant and more impactful than ever.

@GbadamosiSula18@Mr_JAGs Lol you can't get to any other state from Lagos without passing Ogun. Whether through lagos-calabar, lagos - Sokoto, lagos - Ibadan or Lagos -Abeokuta.you still have to pass Ogun border. I hope that better explains what border means
@JuliusShoga@Nairametrics I don't think you read the same article I read. If anything the conclusion reiterated that the first lady is not doing it as part of government policy. She's simply providing grants for the most vulnerable through her renewed hope initiative.
Gotta be like my 20th time in the Benz, and it’s definitely up there with SoFi Stadium
But hearing the crowd at Spain-Saudi Arabia belt Country Roads, with AND without music, just became an all-time favorite soccer moment of mine
USA soccer needs to make it our official song
@ennyola0015 Stop comparing your reality to others . Even in the USA, most people still prefer the OTA channels. Politics is local. Majority of Trump supporters don't even get on tiktok or Twitter. They solely rely on TV and radio.
1. Those companies did not build those stadiums; they simply paid for the naming rights. For example, Mercedes-Benz pays an average of $12 million per year to have its name on the stadium.
2. The disparity between the cost of maintaining such facilities and the income they generate is so vast that they could easily become white elephants.
Maintaining the Mercedes-Benz Stadium costs about $5 million monthly. There is simply no market for such facilities here.
3. What we need are small arenas (with capacities of 5,000 to 10,000) that have well-maintained playing surfaces and other decent facilities in every Local Government Area across the country.
4. Local Governments (not the president) across the country should be doing (thats if their governors allow local government autonomy to thrive)
5. We can also encourage companies and individuals to build such facilities. For example, I built full-sized pitch (personal funds) at Urban Day Grammar School, Ibadan.
Guess what? We have already unearthed some talents who are now on their way to trials abroad.
Imagine what we could achieve if we all joined hands and did this at scale.
@AriWasserman Argentina with Messi lost to Saudi Arabia in their first game of the last world cup in Qatar and then went on to win the same world cup. It's sport, it happens
@pallnandi Like Senegal didn't just beat them at AFCON, and Nigeria didn't go to penalty with them. The truth is their style is similar to that of Brazil. Wait till they play team with physicality of that of west Africa or some south Americans
This is the issue. @abikedabiri and @YusufTuggar will be shaking their heads reading this. You ignored their work over the years gave the credit totally to Bianca that became minister just weeks ago. You even ignored Lateef Fagbemi that right their with Bianca
Just look at the crazy number of Igbo men in Ethiopian Prison. Our men are wasting inside prisons in many countries and it’s not funny. Those in Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines are likely going to perish there because they’re mostly on death sentence. @Ojukwu_Bianca thank you.
@RepRileyMoore@POTUS Stop lying and trying to take credit for every progress Nigeria made. Don't you have legislations in the U. S. Congress attend to?
@ogbomosotimes@ladumdum@ReutersAfrica Will states prioritize their indigenous? Yes, I hope so. But I read the bill, it did not mandate that it has to be indigenous hiring. Some of you will present opinions as fact and when they ask you for sources na story.
LASTMA is the most effective, efficient and result-driven agency of government in Nigeria.
They provide real solutions to society and I absolutely commend the person behind the original initiative.
When I make it, I’ll make annual donations to LASTMA. I love them. I love their officers. I love the services they provide.
