@Adithya_GX It primarily provides authenticity and integrity during system updates, System App Verification, access control, and many other such activities. Simply put, they guarantee that an update comes from the (trusted) vendor, not an adversary attempting to push a malicious update.

@ico_TC Absolutely true! Things have significantly changed because of the open-source community. Everything is much more accessible and hardware is also cheaper, if anyone is actually interested in learning this stuff.
