Nobody talks about how “auto-renewal” is designed to outlast your attention. The trial ends, the charge hits, and the cancel button is buried under menus that exist only to create friction. Forgetting became their most reliable revenue stream.
I miss when “public swimming pools” were open all summer and free. Now they’re limited hours, require memberships, or sit closed while the city finds money for everything else. Shared recreation became another thing that only exists for people who can already afford private options.
Hey people. Just wanted to give a fair warning about a dangerous drug thats legally being sold at almost every convenience store and smoke shop in America. This isn’t easy to talk about publicly but if it helps someone, it’s worth it.
Random question for the masses...
Who remembers "Puff the Magic Dragon"? Or am I living in a timelines where no-one has any idea what I'm talking about...
Things that happened in the 6 minutes before my flight boarded, in order:
6 min: Guy next to me realizes he’s been sitting in the wrong gate for an hour. Sprints off without his coffee.
5 min: A kid asks his mom “are we there yet” about a flight that hasn’t taken off. Nobody corrects him.
4 min: Woman on the phone says “no I told you, I’m not coming to the wedding” and hangs up before anyone can ask what that means.
I don't understand why "gym memberships" have initiation fees, cancellation fees, and "annual maintenance fees" on top of the monthly rate. I'm paying to use your stairs and you want $199 just to sign up, then $50 to leave. This is a hostage situation with dumbbells.
