Gemma 4 is now nearly 90% faster on Apple Silicon with Ollama using MLX!

The speedup comes from improved multi-token prediction (MTP), now on by default for Gemma 4, with more models to come.

Ollama automatically tunes how many tokens to draft as it runs, so it never slows generation down when speculation no longer contributes to a speedup.

Looking back, Unity Bridge has probably saved me more time than any other AI workflow improvement. Especially when building Unity editor tools.

Before, every AI change meant switching back to Unity, waiting for compilation, finding an error, then going back to the AI. That loop could easily eat hours.

Now the model compiles through MCP, reads the compiler output itself, fixes the errors, and keeps iterating. It isn’t coding blind anymore.
