Students choose from a science word bank to complete a vocab map for homework! This provides opportunities for students’ learning & understanding of science academic language to be discussed at home 🧪🔬🧑‍🔬 @WeAreHAEST @HCPSElemScience @Area3STEM @CarrollwoodK8

We had SO much fun collecting evidence on how the surface can affect the distance a car travels! New wonderings developed during this investigation, just in time to start STEM fair next week 😊🏎️💨

We are getting HANDS ON with science tools to identify different forms of energy! This helped us explain how energy causes change! I think our favorite was the tuning forks 🎼🔦🪀🔥😊 @WeAreHAEST @HCPSElemScience @Area3STEM @CarrollwoodK8 @HillsboroughSch @CarrollwoodSTE1

[Andrea Varona @AndreaVarona01]

Learning about the different forms of energy. Students sorted through scenarios and coded how they knew which form of energy was present. @CarrollwoodK8 @HCPSElemScience

Do all plants make all their own energy? 🤔 We are using Canvas to help us look at pictures of meat-eating plants more closely and reading books/articles about how these plants get their energy! 🪰🪴
