Last friday @BuijsEcoConsult and myself found this Lesser Black-backed gull that was ringed as pullus in 1989 by @_BTO . Could be the oldest known LBBG... It was seen in 2015 at almost the same place we observed it last friday.

Amazing distances our Lesser Black-backed #Gulls from IJmuiden Forteiland, NL 🇳🇱 travel. YDBS for example was reported from Mauritania 🇲🇷 this winter, more than 4000 kms away. It's a privilige to see them up close in the colony📷 from today in IJmuiden #teamgull #dutchgulls

Reading ringed #gulls at Velsen-Noord beach, NL 🇳🇱 this morning. 1⃣0⃣,0⃣0⃣0⃣ gulls present feeding on ensis. Mostly Herring, but also high nrs of Black-headed & Common, some Caspian and 1 Med Gull. Rings were from NL 🇳🇱, DE 🇩🇪, UK 🇬🇧, EST 🇪🇪 and POL 🇵🇱 #teamgull
