@JacobEliButler @Iraqveteran8888 Actually, no. Cerakote won’t bond to fully cured Cerakote. The previous coating would have to be stripped down to the bare substrate, prepped and recoated.

Finally getting around to building out an Uzi kit that's been laying around for two years. Before Richard @BWEFirearms passed, I had discussed getting together with him and learning some of the ropes of Uzi smithing. Sadly, he was taken from us too soon. Bolt life is good, as long as you don’t push the pressures to the extreme with handloading. I’ve broken Grendel spec bolts using hot loads of the older 6AR wildcat, but only after 2500ish rounds, and the rifle still ran fine in a competition setting without knowing any problem had occurred 👀 Common rule of thumb is to just replace your bolt when you replace your barrel in these kinds of rigs.
