Taraneh Rahimi (20) and Leila Abolhasani (43) have both been sentenced to death in Iran over January 2026 protest cases in the Isfahan area.

#TaranehRahimi one of a pair of twin sisters, was among defendants in the “Isfahan Shohada Square” case. She received a death sentence plus additional prison time alongside several others. Human-rights reports note the indictment did not specifically charge her with the two deaths that occurred near the square; one video cited in the case reportedly shows her urging people not to assault a homeless man.

#LeilaAbolhasani a beautician and mother of two teenage daughters, was arrested on 8 January in Shahin Shahr while filming a fire at an Ofogh Kourosh supermarket. Authorities accused her of involvement in the arson and convicted her of moharebeh (“enmity against God”). Relatives say she was only documenting the scene. Her case is under Supreme Court review after appeal; she has been held in Dowlatabad Prison.

This brutal Islamic regime must end to stop executions and terrors.

Let me introduce you to a brave hero from my country, Iran.

She was 16 years old. Just a girl. And on the streets of Iran, she did something braver than most people do in a lifetime: she took off her hijab and burned it in public. Right in front of the regime. Right in front of the world.

That was her crime: civil disobedience. A teenage girl refusing to obey men who claimed authority over her hair, her body, her life.

Her message spoke for millions of Iranian women:

To every man who rules over women in the name of religion, honor, or culture: We do not obey you. Your laws were never made for us.

This is what real power looks like: unarmed, unafraid, unbowed.

For that defiance, she was arrested. Her family says she was tortured and killed after falling into the hands of security forces. The Iranian authorities denied responsibility and gave a different account of her death.

Her name was Nika Shakarami. She was 16.

Now ask yourself: How many women in the West know her name? How many know what she risked for a freedom they have never had to fight for?

The Islamic regime arrested former Iranian national team goalkeeper Rashid Mazaheri and threw him into solitary confinement in Urmia Prison.

For more than a decade, Rashid defended Iran's goal. He proudly wore the national team jersey and represented millions of Iranians on the international stage.

Then, in February 2026, he did something even more courageous.

After the Islamic regime's deadly crackdown on the January 2026 protests, Rashid publicly called Ali Khamenei "a dark and passing chapter in Iran's history."

That single post cost him his freedom.

Today, he is being held in solitary confinement under harsh conditions while his wife Maryam desperately pleads for his release. His only "crime" was speaking the truth and standing with the Iranian people.

Rashid Mazaheri is not a criminal.

He is a patriot.
