Excellent article @AmirRana case study of what’s wrong with Governance in Pakistan: closure of Library in Khuzdar, Balochistan, sparked peaceful protests by students keen to study & prepare for exams, finally, CM @PakSarfrazbugti intervened from Quetta to settle matter amicably! The bureaucratic morons who closed Library should be punished for being anti-education! Had there been an elected local government in administrative unit of Khuzdar District, this problem wouldn’t have arisen! Pakistan’s Governance Crisis requires devolution of power to elected local governments at district-level administrative units, NOT more provinces!

On 1 hand,Blchstn Govt offers 400 B.Ed scholarships 4 female stdnts 2 gain professional techng qualfcations,while on d othr hand SST Generl & Science recrutmnt is basd only on academic degrs, excluding professional degree holdrs. Isn’t this a policy contrdction?

@DrNiazAhmadSI In Balochistan’s district Killa Saifullah, a UOB sub-campus in the tehsil is largely non-functional. It has only one department of Education due to poor administration. Previously, there were four departments, now reduced to one, and the main campus is silent and not responding.
