Few words can appropriately describe the impact of this tragedy on our colleagues, city, and fellow citizens. But we will work to get through it together. Thank you.
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California has more water stored in its system than it ever has in its history to serve residents.

Wonderful uses less than 1% of the state’s water as part of a community of farmers and ranchers who produce a quarter of our nation’s food – in our case, only healthy food.
There is zero truth that any individual or company, much less ours, owns or controls most of the water in CA. It’s also not true we have anything to do with water supplied to Los Angeles. Water intended for municipal use is not taken for agricultural purposes or food production.
We’re headquartered in L.A. and our colleagues are amongst those who have lost their homes and been displaced. We are heartbroken by the devastation. Even in the chaos and uncertainty, no one should be allowed to spread uninformed, discredited, and false claims.
Today I visited the Wonderful Pistachio Plant in Lost Hills to tour their facility and discuss the importance of passing a strong Farm Bill this year. Thank you to the @WonderfulNuts Team for a great visit.

For perspective, ag is 8% of CA’s #ghg emissions, behind industrial, transportation, & energy which account for 80%. CA’s farming & ranching families take #climatechange seriously. Farm families recognize the importance of doing our part. #climatesmartag https://t.co/L0aLvjbXSW
