@rollingstoneaus#deancain you are a great individual, but you are wrong on the woke #superman. Superman was created with the inspiration of Charles Atlas. #Charlesatlas was an Italian American immigrant that came to the US at the age of 10 legally.
Did you know that #Superman was modeled after Charles Atlas? The writers of the original Superman comic took inspiration from Charles Atlas when writing the original comic. The original writers told the representatives of Charles Atlas, Ltd. this fact.
Owner came to SIACC with an appointment to surrender her cat, Soni. Client explained that her child has allergies and Soni can no longer remain in the home.

🆘🆘 LIL HARLEY, 6 MONTHS OLD, FEMALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - owner surrender on 3/29/2025, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️ TBD 4/17/25
➡️ LITERALLY ONLY A KITTEN 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE THAN SHELTER CAN PROVIDE
➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 18 DAYS IN SHELTER
➡️ LIL HARLEY IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - She has an upper respiratory infection, which has caused her to not eat and lose a large amount of weight in the shelter. She is tense but easy to handle and administer medications. She needs additional supportive care and a quiet place out of the shelter to recover. NOT EATING IS A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
What my friends at ACC say about me: I have lived with many cats at in my previous home, so I would likely do well in a multi-cat home. Lil Harley is a young cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. She is apprehensive of people and while showing no aggressive behaviors, she appears wary of human contact. It is difficult to predict if she will respond to socialization but we recommend offering high value treats and food to help build a positive association to humans. I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

🆘🆘 SCOOBY, 4 YO, MALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/8/2025, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - not house trained. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️ TBD 4/17/25
➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 39 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ SCOOBY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means the cat is given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
A volunteer writes: If Scooby could've rolled his eyes at me, I think he would've but, then again, I guess he did it cat style. Sitting on top of his den and seeming to stare at the floor, Scooby furrowed his brow and waited for me to leave. I've heard he's extraordinarily playful - pouncing after his toys, chasing after moths, and even splashing around with water, but he wasn't so interested in playing with me and quickly pulled his head back to decline my offer of pets. I sat down to read him a little of my book hoping to make him feel a little more comfortable with a visitor, or at the very least just try to entertain him. It worked a little because Scooby seemed to momentarily pause his grumpy face to listen closely. He might be a little unhappy now, but he's more open minded than he looks. He was brought to us with another cat after having moved around a little bit and is looking for a steady place to land. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻
