Very happy that we @GIZAlbania work with @CityOfTirana to improve public transport.
We work on many more things in the sector:
- data management and digital transformation (AVL, GTFS, RTPI)
- service planning and performance management
- commercial and financial sustainability

Yesterday, as part of European Mobility Week, organizations and communities of cyclists gathered to talk about urban cycling and ways to enhance daily mobility in cooperation with different directories of Municipality of Tirana.
So happy to support @aprtirana and @CityOfTirana in establishing the first permanent #cycling school for children in #Tirana.
Soon every (school) kid will be able to learn cycling (and traffic rules) in a designated and safe area

#before vs #after#schoolstreet in #Tirana
Thanks to @Qendra_M and @CityOfTirana for the collaboration that made this new school street in Tirana safer and more enjoyable for kids and parents.
Around 1500 kids benefit directly.
One of many new school streets to come.
Did you know? Groningen was the first city in the Netherlands to implement simultaneous green lights for bikes.
At 29 different intersections, cyclists travel in all four directions at once; turning what might look like total chaos into a safer, more efficient way to get around.
The majority of #PublicTransport users are women. However, #safety is a key concern when choosing transport modes. Protecting personal safety often outweighs environmental concerns. Cars are therefore often not a choice AGAINST the planet but FOR personal safety. #WomenMobilize
