A humanitarian catastrophe is currently unfolding in Tirah Valley of Pakhtunkhwa. Pashtuns there are forced to leave their houses and villages right in the middle of the winter. No assistance or shelter is offered by the authorities. The images speak for themselves and are nothing short of the atrocities in Gaza. Yet, nobody speaks up for these innocent people who are abandoned to the freezing cold on the difficult roads in the Valley.
Background: the Pakistani army let in the militants to appease them. Now they are supposedly in conflict. By announcing the military operations in advance, the militants will already have taken shelter elsewhere. So the only targets of these operations are innocent Pashtuns, either by direct violence from both sides or by homelessness, cold, hunger and diseases.

The people of Tirah Valley have been forcibly displaced in the middle of winter and left without shelter, transport, or protection. Children, women, and the elderly are exposed to snow and freezing temperatures under the open sky. This is not a security measure. It is collective punishment and a grave violation of human rights.
The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement calls on the international community to act immediately to protect displaced civilians and ensure accountability.

Daily attacks on Pashtun children and women have become routine for the Pakistani army.
Today, once again, in Khyber Tirah, Pakistani forces used a quadcopter drone to bomb local Pashtun civilian areas, injuring four children and one woman.

In the past month alone, over 100 Pashtun children and women have been martyred or injured by the Pakistani army in Pakhtunkhwa.

Just as Israel commits brutal attacks on women and children in Gaza, Palestine, Pakistan is carrying out the same kind of violence against Pashtun women and children in Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s federal and provincial governments — and most political parties — deliberately ignore these atrocities and remain busy playing their own dirty games with the very army responsible for Pashtun bloodshed, trapped within Pakistan’s puppet political system.
Such people should never expect support from the Pashtun nation for their fake political dramas.

Even more painful is the attitude of the settled-area public, who, despite decades of mass atrocities and even with clear evidence in hospital records, still question whether these attacks are even happening — and look down upon the war-torn bodies of oppressed Pashtuns as if their suffering shouldn’t even be reported on social media.

Today’s reality is that Punjabi generals, driven by racial hatred, no longer even spare innocent Pashtun children and women.
The very “dollar game” of terrorism the army itself created has, for over two decades, been used to kill ordinary Pashtun civilians under the false label of “terrorists.”

But remember this: due to this helplessness, it will take time for Pashtuns to become a strong power — but they will surely hold the oppressors accountable.

Prominent leaders of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), including Ali Wazir, Haji Samad (Samad Lala), and respected tribal elder Malik Naseer Kokikhel, have been imprisoned for months without resolution. They have been shifted across prisons in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, yet their cases remain stuck without fair legal process.

Pakistan’s courts stand powerless under military influence, with judges’ eyes fixed on the commands of generals. The military leadership is aggressively trying to silence the voices demanding justice and dignity for Pashtuns, but this struggle will never be silenced.

Instead of ending its discriminatory and hostile policies against the Pashtun people, the military targets and arrests those who dare to speak out against oppression.

The cold wars of global powers, fueled by the military elite, have been imposed on Pashtun lands, robbing them of their lives, homes, and futures. Yet even now, Pashtuns are denied the right to raise their voices for survival.

We call on international human rights organizations, media, and global allies to stand up and demand the immediate release of PTM’s imprisoned leaders.
