Defending the Ukrainian underdog against the Russian bear is a righteous cause. Self-absorption leads one to look the other way. The alternative to Ukraine fighting this war is the Russians raping, subjugating, and murdering the Ukrainian people.
Watch what Matvi Chos, a Ukrainian teenager, told me about what the Russians are doing with kidnapped Ukrainian kids.
Hysterical since I had a long admiration for #Russia until it invaded #Ukraine in 2014. I've read about #Russian culture and history since I was a teenager. Russian spiritual fathers have been key reading. I've studied the #Slavophile ideology and about Great Russianism from the 19th century. Your average MAGA troll has never read Khomiakov or any real Russian history. Great Russianists look at Ukraine as "Little Russia" instead of as the separate and distinct people that it is.
They just get what they know about Russia from the Kremlin Press Office.
This is awesome! Trump sued (as he always does) the BBC for defamation, and expected them to fold like a cheap rug or as American networks did! Instead, the BBC fought back and refused to pay a cent! Now, a judge has cleared the way to subpoena Don Jr, Ivanka and Jared Kushner about January 6. Get your popcorn ready, discovery will be delicious! My guess is he will drop the lawsuit like a hot potato! 🤣
A French company raised 5,184 solar panels 16 feet over a Normandy dairy pasture, and when the open field nearby dried out in July, the grass underneath stayed green and on hot days the cows in their shade grazed until noon while the herd in the sun headed in at 9:30...

Joseph Conrad, who wrote his novels in English despite it being his third language, said that no word in English "has clean edges" - harder to write in but with potential for great expressiveness, because of what Borges talks about here.

“We are thinking about where to bury them all — the Ukrainians!”
This chilling statement, made live on Russian television by Vladimir Putin’s chief propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov, was quoted by Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Andriy Melnyk, during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on October 9, 2026.
According to Ambassador Melnyk, this barbaric declaration exposes Putin’s true objective: “the ultimate extermination of the Ukrainian nation.”
Melnyk drew a disturbing historical parallel with Nazi Germany, warning that Putin’s publicly proclaimed objective bears an ominous resemblance to the so-called “Final Solution to the Jewish Question” (Endlösung) — the euphemism Hitler’s regime used for its plan to systematically exterminate the Jewish people.
Ukraine’s ambassador quoted Solovyov’s statement:
“To those still remaining in Kyiv, I repeat for the hundredth time: leave the city. You are doomed. The same applies to the residents of Odesa and Mykolaiv. You've had your laughs — now it's over.
And when we are asked whether we should be concerned about the fate of the people living in these cities, my answer is yes, we should. We are thinking about where to bury them all.”
Melnyk continued:
“The Russians are thinking about where to bury us — Ukrainians. Every single one of us. Just consider these bloodcurdling threats.”
The ambassador stressed that these were not literary metaphors or rhetorical exaggerations.
“We are hearing absolutely explicit, savage calls for the mass extermination of all Ukrainians, with proposals to bury their bodies — or perhaps even burn them.”
Melnyk also reminded Security Council members that senior Russian officials have repeatedly described Ukrainians as “cancerous tumors,” “rabid dogs,” “cockroaches,” “lice,” and “parasites” that Russia must “disinfect.”
He then cited another horrifying statement attributed to Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s former president and current deputy chairman of its Security Council:
“They — the Ukrainians — must be destroyed. That's all.”
These statements, Melnyk argued, reveal the true nature of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
This is not merely about territory. It is about the existence of the Ukrainian nation itself.
One can only hope that those members of the UN Security Council who still naively believe Putin simply wants the remaining territory of Donetsk Oblast — and that peace will somehow follow — have finally begun to understand what Ukraine is facing.
When Russian officials and propagandists openly discuss the destruction of an entire nation, the world cannot afford to dismiss their words as empty rhetoric.

🚨 Russia is plotting to assassinate European defense industry executives — intelligence agencies warn of a new wave of sabotage operations
The Kremlin has ordered an expansion of covert operations across European countries to weaken military support for Ukraine, the Financial Times reports, citing officials from five European intelligence agencies.
Among the primary targets are executives of companies producing weapons, drones, and components for the Ukrainian military.
The threat extends beyond top executives at major defense corporations to include the heads of smaller companies.
According to the FT, Russia's military intelligence agency, the GRU, is coordinating these operations and increasingly recruiting criminal groups. Some are tasked with surveillance, others with logistics, and still others with carrying out the attacks.
European intelligence agencies have already thwarted several suspected attacks. Some defense companies have stepped up security for their executives.

Does that mean I can say that russia shot down MH17 without getting dozens of russian bots in my mentions?
Ukrainian Baroque is called Cossack Baroque, as the style developed during the time of the Hetmanate, the Ukrainian Cossack state, and it was Cossacks who were the bearers of a new artistic taste.⬇️
Sooooo, now that the bots are dead, can we settle some points for good?
-russia invaded Ukraine illegally in 2014 and again in 2022
-the cause of the war is russian imperialism. Not NATO, not biolabs, not the protection of russophones
-russia is a terrorist state
Here's the real test to see if the Bot Farms are really down:
