Aang: Doesn't listen to his wife and friends warnings about the dangers of the staff
Some of ya'll: Aw he's just a baby 😭
Korra: Doesn't listen to the people that isolated her from everything and listens to the uncle who knows more about spirits
Most of ya'll: KILL YOURSELF-
the tone people use when trying to be supportive of people they don’t actually like is so obvious
“she ATE!” “greatest ad of ALL TIME!” okay so you see her as a baby
I took an anthropology class about humans and animals and one thing that I now constantly notice is that most people’s morality regarding animals is based off aesthetics
If this were cute dogs Twitter would be demanding this guy’s head, but since it’s ugly crocodiles, it’s funny
the quiet part of the hatred for dinklage that nobody says out loud, is that nobody would ever hire a little person for a role that didnt specifically require them.
thats the steelman for his position: "hey, you could hire us for literally any role"
Korra was a locked away Avatar with no access to the outside world until she was literally a teenager. When she reached the outside world she had to grapple with the fact that it “supposedly” did not need her and everything she was taught was outdated. Her villains were BRUTAL. She literally fought the spirit of evil itself. She was preyed upon numerous times even by her own family. Lost her bending, lost her past lives unintentionally, survived a poisoning and paralysis, overcame PTSD, and is a representation of what it means to practice personal forgiveness & empathy for your mistakes. Also Bisexual diva. Whats not to defend?
