@TheLastNeocon I don’t have to ask somebody. I just saw those numbers and even though I’m washed and out of practice they turned into 3714 after like 2 seconds. When I’m not rusty the answer to that comes to me like reading a word. Even since like the 4th grade
@TheLastNeocon We were talking about basic addition the entire time. You were arguing that it is faster for the basic addition. I have seen through my life that that is 100% not true. You now shifted the goalpost, displaying that you are a waste of time to talk to
@TheLastNeocon Being able to do math like that quickly does not serve people an actual purpose in life for the most part. Which was a constant complaint I heard in math classes. Because people don’t realize the point is what it does to your brain development not the math itself
@TheLastNeocon Doing 358+256 is not hard and people should not do whatever is faster they should do whatever helps them learn math more. The more people do 358+256 directly instead of rounding the more they’ll be able to do math like that quickly which grows parts of their brain
@jjohnjohnjohnjo@JerseyGeneral34@HillcrestCardCo Long term just doing 88+99 is faster. Rounding adds a step and is only faster while you are slow at doing the math, which you will remain if you round instead of actually doing math
@plesiocide Are you actually illiterate. I’m not even religious, and I will critique even the best religions to some extent, but I wouldn’t mock them. And I explained pretty rationally why
People no longer understand that principles exist for reasons, they think the principle is the deepest most core reason. So they say ridiculous stuff like “why can you mock Scientology but not other religions they’re both religions”
I don’t really understand why it’s so universally accepted to mock this faith. imagine the trouble you’d get in if you did this in a mosque or synagogue?
This does not apply to bullshit religions that are just cults and are obviously not true like Scientology and Mormonism. Because they don’t meet the qualifiers for the principle of you can’t mock religion to be a worthwhile principle
The reason you can’t mock actual respectable religions is because despite what may be our faith at the end of the day we don’t know which one is right the others could hypothetically be right and one could reasonably believe that it is right
