CONSCIOUS DELIBERATENESS
As I sat still, gazing at the star studded sky, a thought flashed through my mind. “The stars are performing exactly what their part in the ‘Whole’ is”. Then I asked myself, what is the part of man in the ‘Whole’? As I set my mind to ponder upon that question, my immediate neighbour came by to draw water from a tap that was nearby. In deep though, I did not notice him until I heard the sound of water gushing out of the tap. And that sound of water gushing out of the tap inspired the thoughts I have put down here.
Whichever belief you hold of how we got here, there must be a reason why you occupy the space you are occupying now. Being part of the ‘Whole’, at the end of your occupation time, each of us must show something for that occupation time.
“Kindness, simply, is the rent we pay for the space we occupy on this planet.” This statement by Robin Sharma in his book ‘Who Will Cry When You Die?’ bewildered me. Is it by accident that humans are endowed with the ability to make conscious judgements and decisions? ‘The only thing in Man(referring to both gender) that is Man is his/her Mind. Any other thing you can find in a horse or pig.’ If every man and woman would live with a bit more consciousness, we would be woken up into a deliberateness of purpose which will make our being part of the ‘Whole’ worthwhile.
The sound of water gushing out of the tap was to me an undisputed illustration of purposeful fit. A water tap is purposely for anyone who needs water whichever time. In the ‘Whole’, nothing actually exists for itself, and this is where we often fall short despite having evidence all over this for such a design. Our being has been so fogged such that we can no longer hear the calls for conscious deliberateness that the ‘Whole’ requires in return from us. Water availability in the conduits makes the tap fulfil its purpose.
Each being and body that forms part of the ‘Whole’ has some content that they have been set up to give out at any given time. A tap that constantly gives out water never gets dry and, ‘Flowing water never gets dirty’. As the tap gives out the water, it also helps to keep the contents of the conduit fresh. The status of the reservoirs whether full or empty can be detected also from the output of the tap. The ‘Whole’ is a perfect balance and is driven by laws that keep everything in its right place for specific purposes. Unfortunately, humans are constantly working their way out of this balance and the results have always been disastrous.
Nothing has been allowed to be part of the cosmos to just occupy space in time and then disappear again without living any impactful mark. I will come back someday soon to tell you the story of a tree I watched very closely for a number of years. But for now, allow me at this point to say that you, and anyone else you see and know have a purpose for existence and the sooner we get to that realization, the better it will be for the ‘Whole’.
Our conscious deliberateness in living out our purposes sets the tone for the harmony that the ‘Whole’ desperately needs now just as water out of a tap will set a lot of activities in motion. When water drips on the ground, seeds will germinate, plants will be watered; trees will grow which means more rainfall is eventuated. All living beings will be hydrated, food will be cooked, and proper hygiene will be maintained. The water, in the process will also be kept fresh.
