Under epic new management. Building back better. If you want it, take it. Dale Carnegie acolyte but all views your own. Entitled. Hanover is my lebensraum.
Fragile masculinity may motivate compensatory behaviours, including violent acts, meant to restore the threatened status of "real" manhood. Here we see a composite image of the Montreal Arms in Brighton being attacked by its new owner. This is a season for healing.
Went to see the vandalism carried out to the Montreal Arms in Brighton. Sad sight despite the sunlight catching the remaining glazed tiles. This building is valued community heritage & hopefully the owner will now have to make good.
@ProposMontreal Please pardon my English reply: the adjacent streets are called Toronto Terrace and Quebec Street, so named in honour of the creation of the Dominion of Canada in 1867, when most of the local homes were built.
@CarolineLucas Hi Caroline - the cowboys who have ruined the green tiles on The Montreal Arms are continuing working on the building today, despite the 'stop notice' issued yesterday... How van we get them to stop all the work?
Agree 100%. Unfortunately, this personal choice was based on Southall's perceived sleight at the hands of Hanover's "mean-spirited" community, based on interactions with a Facebook group. He was unable to contact local neighbours but did rope in @skynews to promote himself.
My beloved wife is a Stella aficionado and after walks back from the beach with our trusty hounds we'd stop here, the only nearby purveyor of Stella on our colourful hill, and exchange some chit chat with the person behind the bar while the other two punters chucked their darts.
@SkyNews I want to destroy this pub now @SkyNews will you come and see what I have done? Trolls on a Facebook group called me, they called me ... "scum" even. Mere trolls from around the country, nay the world, and I showed them. Come and see.
Today free lateral flow & PCR tests will end for most people in England. A perverse act of self harm that flies in the face of expert advice. “Learning to live with Covid” shouldn’t mean burying head in sand, pretending it doesn’t exist & ditching basic public health protections

"I've tried not to lose sight of the fact that a charity helped me turn my life around."
Charlie Southall explains what motivated him to convert a disused pub into a co-living space for people fleeing Ukraine.
