Happy 94th birthday to former NASA astronaut David Scott!
Born June 6, 1932, Scott participated in several groundbreaking missions, including Gemini VIII and Apollo 15, where he became the seventh person to walk on the Moon.

On this day in 1965, astronaut Ed White made history by completing America’s first spacewalk during the Gemini IV mission.
#MeteorSighting: Eyewitnesses in Ohio and Michigan reported a bright meteor on Monday, June 1, at 10:41p.m. EDT. The data puts first detection of the fireball above the Ohio area near Lima. The meteor moved north-northwest at approximately 49,900 mph before disintegrating above the area just west of Lansing, Michigan.

On May 27, 1947, Neil Armstrong graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta, Ohio, at the age of 16.
Armstrong was active in extracurricular activities at Blume. He participated in band, student council, glee club, and in the class play.
Today, we recognize Sally Ride on what would have been her 75th birthday. Ride made history as America's first woman in space aboard STS-7 in 1983.
In 2022, Ride was featured on the reverse side of the quarter as part of the US Mint's American Women program.
On this day in 1961, President Kennedy declared that America would land a human on the Moon before the decade is out.
The ambitious goal came just weeks after NASA sent the country’s first astronaut on a 15-minute sub-orbital mission.
Former NASA astronaut John Fabian passed away on May 21 at the age of 87. A Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, Fabian flew on two Space Shuttle missions, including STS-7, the historic flight that carried Sally Ride, the first American woman in space.

On this day in 1969, the Saturn V rocket rolled out of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at Kennedy Space Center.
The Apollo 11 crew was there for the historic rollout and posed for photos with their 363-foot-tall ride to the Moon.
Now through Labor Day, the museum is offering FREE ADMISSION to active duty military and their immediate family as part of the Blue Star Museum program.
Our museum is just one of hundreds of museums who participate in this amazing nationwide program.
Captain Stoner had the opportunity to visit the original Learjet 28 engine at the Neil Armstrong Airport during his visit.
He also shared a FaceTime call with former NASA astronaut Greg “Box” Johnson, who piloted the aircraft on its final flight.
Special reunion! Captain David Stoner flew this Learjet 28 for 19 years, logging over 8,000 flight hours with the historic craft. Stoner made a special trip with his wife just to see the jet on public display.
In 1979, Armstrong set five world records in the jet 🛩️
