TW ⚠️— CLARKSVILLE: “Hey man get the dog off of him!”
An officer has been suspended “pending an internal investigation” after using a K-9 dog to bite an unarmed Black man for a full minute as they arrested him.

Justice Thomas’ dissent is hands down one of the MOST intellectually dishonest legal opinions I have EVER seen.
It should be clear to every American he is a compromised political actor - not a respectable member of this bench.
After the Supreme Court decision on Temporary Protected Status, one Haitian community leader in Springfield, Ohio tells me he's been fielding calls from people taking a victory lap. "They are using n-words to tell us to leave," he says.
Top Trump ally Sean Davis reacts to the Supreme Court ruling on birthright citizenship:
"Deny entry to all female foreigners... Require sterilization of all foreign visitors prior to entry."
Rovina Naboi in Kenya lost her little daughter Jane to starvation in a refugee camp. After Elon Musk threw USAID into the woodchipper, food was rationed to 40 percent of daily caloric needs, and one meal a day.
The world's richest man did this.
🚨BREAKING: In Las Vegas, ICE agents illegally entered a flooring business’s private property without a warrant, refused to leave when the owner demanded they get off his property, and then threatened to tase him.
In the video, the business owner repeatedly tells the agents to leave. But, instead of leaving, one agent arrogantly responds that they’ll leave “when we’re done.”
That’s not how the Constitution works.
If law enforcement doesn’t have a valid judicial warrant, they can’t force their way onto private commercial property in order to conduct a search… and they certainly don’t get to ignore the property owner’s demand for them to leave.
As the agents are finally walking away, one agent turns around and starts threatening the owner, and his employees.
The owner immediately asks, “Are you threatening us? Are you going to shoot us?”
That’s when the agent puts his hand on his taser… and pulls it out.
The agent tries to say he is giving them a “warning.”
Brandishing a weapon to intimidate someone, who is standing on their own property demanding that government agents leave, is the definition of a constitutional violation.
Which is exactly why the Fourth Amendment exists… to protect people from unreasonable government searches and seizures.
And when someone verbally tells government officials to leave their property, that speech is also protected by the First Amendment.
So, pulling a taser on the owner, while standing on HIS private property, as he tells you to leave, is not a “warning”… it is a threat.
Government agents don’t get to invent authority they don’t have. They don’t get to threaten people, especially while standing on private property. And they don’t get to ignore the Constitution because they think no one will hold them accountable.
If they actually had a warrant, they would’ve shown it.
Instead, they left.
New: Last year, the Trump DOJ dropped its oversight of troubled police departments in several cities, claiming the reform efforts were “factually unjustified.” But officers continued to engage in the same abuses, per a new ACLU report. https://t.co/gJ2dqHqEKs
“It is general knowledge in our practice that for $2 million, you can have a pardon,” one prominent white-collar defense attorney tells @S_Fitzpatrick and @michaelscherer
And to add to the injustice and absurdity, Trump is likely to pardon everyone involved, including himself. And we've barely even begun to talk about the national security implications of Trump's international graft.
Musk is way, way worse than a lot of people (myself included) thought. And he's now using his unbelievably large platform to egg on clear threats of violence against "traitors" (political opponents) and "invaders" (immigrants)
.@jonathanvswan: "Trump is essentially beyond the reach of the law in terms of actions...Trump has told senior advisers in the Oval Office that he's going to pardon anyone who came within 250 feet of the Oval Office...I don't think they feel any real concern about illegality."
One study found Musk’s closing of the U.S. Agency for International Development could cause the deaths of millions of children. https://t.co/qaQMoCPf82 (Photo: Associated Press)
A Confederate flag was projected on multiple screens inside the North Carolina pavilion at the Great American State Fair. People walked in and saw that image displayed alongside the state flag. A symbol of hatred and oppression has no place at a public event. We are glad it was removed but let us be clear. This was NOT a small oversight and it should never be treated as one.
The Times is tragically right. We have a Supreme Court majority that is reckless, ahistorical, partisan and extremist. It is sending us headlong into an unaccountable, vindictive dictatorship

@scotus_wire The point is that it is up to states to determine how elections are conducted. There was no role for SCOTUS, it’s up to the legislatures. Per the claims of cheating, the evidence shows overwhelmingly that it is nearly non existent.
@scotus_wire Lot of comments here by disappointed MAGAs who didn’t read the ruling — or who have fallen for the rigged election hoax — and want the court to write new law. The ruling interprets the law as it is written and correctly leaves the writing of new law to the legislature.
Over 900 years of military experience has been lost due to Pete Hegseth's purge of 25 senior military officers.
"Collectively, they represent over nine centuries of tactical, operational, and institutional experience across every domain of warfare." - Mike Schmitt
