@Fair_and_Biased America for the last 250 years has been pretty consistent in swinging the pendulum of Right wing and Left wing politics back and forth in elections. Methinks it is due to Americans being varied in ideas and customs, rather than homogeous like some other countries are.
@BarnabyHistory Another fun fact: Truman did not like to cuss, but he did once to force his soldiers out of a dangerous position so they would not be shelled by German mortors in WW1 when they initially did not listen to him. Truman's cussing he got from railroad workers.
@Sarahsa09309757 Used to like Mark Felton's videos. Then I discovered he lied on one of them that a German tank museum tried to politely correct him on, but Felton refused and he was sued for it. Now I do not trust any of his books and videos.
@Oshachutes Funny enough, I never used the "Sinnoh 6". I never liked Inferape design wise and I felt that there are better electric types besides Luxray. Only Lucario and Staraptor I truely enjoyed having on my team.
Friedrich Engels, the trust-fund kid who spent forty years bankrolling the man who called capitalism exploitation. Ironic.
Engels inherited co-ownership of Ermen & Engels, a Manchester cotton mill, in 1864. He worked there as a partner, managed workers, collected profits, and wired money to Marx in London for decades. Marx, meanwhile, wrote about the immiseration of the proletariat from rented rooms his friend's textile workers paid for. Marx fathered a child with his unpaid housekeeper, Helene Demuth, denied paternity, and let Engels take the blame publicly for years. Engels obliged. The man was a doormat with a trust fund.
Marx himself produced almost nothing marketable. "Das Kapital" Volume One appeared in 1867; he never finished Volumes Two and Three. Engels assembled them from Marx's notes after his death in 1883. The great theorist of historical inevitability couldn't finish his own book.
Two men, one the son of a factory owner and the other a chronic debtor who borrowed from his own mother, invented a theory that claimed capital accumulation is theft. Engels accumulated capital. Marx stole from everyone around him, privately and personally, before proposing to do it systematically at gunpoint through the state.
Every currency debased, every factory nationalized, every famine engineered under regimes waving their banner traces back to two comfortable Europeans who never once went hungry because prices rose, stood in a breadline, or dug a mass grave for dissidents.
@Fair_and_Biased They are just butt-hurt their simping for Anakin is being contested by the better masculine example that is Aragorn. Do not lose sleep over people like this, Mrs. Chea. God Bless.
@proudserbgirl Catholics are taught and trained (mostly indirectly) to think all other Christians are heretics because they are not part of the Holy See of Rome, which is tragic as it is the one thing that keeps many Christians from willing to cooperate with the Catholic Church. Really sad.
@Mikmag1776 The Bishops of Rome-the Popes-have proven to be stubbornly proud of their power. It was their jealously of the other Patriarchs that have caused the schisms within Christendom. And it was the Popes who caused dissention that led Martin Luther to begin the Protestant Reformation.
Actually, California already had its first Latino Governor, in 1875.
José Antonio Romualdo Pacheco was Californias 12th Governor, and the first Latino ever to be Governor of CA.
He was also a Republican.
@ChrisMartzWX The Left changes their views on a dime to suit their narrative in the given moment.... whatever keeps them in power as rich elites. Power and money are all that matter to them. They do not care about the people nor the environment; they only care about themselves.
@Fair_and_Biased Agreed. Aragorn represents the positive life that men ought to strive for. Anakin represents the dark side that men ought to avoid. With that said, Anakin's saga is a warning to young men, so the latest memes about him are not without good reason.
Don’t empathize with Anakin.
Identify with Aragorn.
He’s the ultimate anti-doomer.
When all seemed lost, Aragorn still acted out of principle & not self-interest.
He didn’t change his actions based on feelings or probabilities.
He didn’t harbor vengeance.
He had a duty, and he risked life and love to fulfill it (saving both in the process).
