@JayinKyiv@RpsAgainstTrump Can you see the discomfort written on the faces of the two decorated General Officers flanking this person? Both probably wish they were still full-birds so they could speak up without political repercussions.
@BaptistBlogger I started the Devine article after a friend shared it with me. It felt ‘off’ and when I reached the PP reference, I changed from lukewarm agreement to outright rejection. Just more CBL ‘stuff’.
@yhn Sir, as a Southern Baptist rooted in religious liberty, I suggest your bill should provide identical penalty for disrupting ALL religious expression- churches, synagogues, mosques, etc.
@TLocketteWrites@aldotcom Updates come because the instate media KNOW we listen to our sport demigods (Pearl, Tubs, Nick) in the leadership vacuum that is Alabama
@BaptistBlogger Serving on the Committee on Nominations (‘23-24), we were repeatedly encouraged to expand, or at least maintain, gender and ethnic diversity of the Trustee Boards. I was elated that for my state, there was only one new Trustee to nominate, and we DID choose the best person.
@aldotcom The schizophrenic attitude of ADPH policymakers is perfectly illustrated in deficiencies issued to Alabama nursing home providers. Federal and state regulations mandate oral care for frail elders, but Alabama Medicaid has NO funding for such care. Unacceptable.
@bobsmietana One might think these oratory techniques are taught in SBC seminaries, but in the ‘70s both devices were heavily criticized and strongly discouraged in preaching classes. Maybe not so much now…
@chuckkelleyjr I remember your Mother-in-Law as a precious saintly woman who loved Jesus and loved people. May the Holy Spirit comfort you in this loss and strengthen you for the path ahead.
@john316marshall He and Ms. Iris were special, special people. A Greek intensive of Romans with him radically changed my understanding of sin and righteousness. Great memory!
Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers are still working to help those affected by Hurricane Idalia. In Florida, they've served hundreds of meals and cleaned out flooded houses. In Georgia, they'll be clearing fallen trees. https://t.co/Djb8rFkEti
