I, along with others, was so blessed to hear veteran state missionary Mark Wakefield speak in chapel. Mark is retiring from his role as disaster relief strategist at the end of February. He is a joy to work with, and I deeply appreciate his commitment to the cause.

I must confess that I have, for a long time, thought the term “waiting room” as part of a doctor’s office is not good terminology. Americans don't like waiting. Yet, I do believe waiting to be important for followers of Christ. It can remind us that God has His own timing.

Pam and I will be with pastor Tim Coleman and the Winfield First Baptist Church family for their Legacy Sunday. We are pleased to be back with this strategic congregation as they honor the past and glory in the hope of the future.

@RayMcDuffie11 Ray Perkins was a hard working player who gave it to the goal of winning at Alabama.

As a coach, he had the almost impossible task of following Coach Bear Bryant. In his latter years, he became a more solidly dedicated Christian.
