@shrishtie@Kuntalhshah Kahan kahan se pakkad k late ho inko. A simple Google search reveals he is confidently telling wrong definition of the word asset. Gold has proven to be a reliable store of value. It has nothing to do with God or bubbles or value creation or currency. 😂
This is the cost you pay for every transaction you place when buying and selling shares. This is not FNO; normal delivery shares. In the USA, the cost is 100 times cheaper. Many index funds in the USA charge a 0.03% expense ratio per year, which is 6 to 7 times cheaper than what our government robs from our pocket, assuming we just do just 1 transaction of buy and sell every year.

Imagine a foreign investor putting ₹100 in India, the value of his investments will reduce 7-17% without even doing anything.
Stock markets give 10-15% returns on an average and the currency itself is falling 9% against the dollar.
On top of that, you have guts to ask investors to pay taxes? That too, exorbitantly high taxes.
All this while, have almost no exposure to AI or robotics which has the potential to take India on the global stage.
Truthfully, the future of our country’s stock market is in darkness; if STT, LTCG, and STCG is not abolished.
@rahulreports@HDFCERGOGIC Always add a deductible in insurance. Less premium, less hassles and more often hospitals will do treatment at half price when you let them know you don't have insurance. 😅
All those working in the education department, including Ministers, officials, principals and teachers, should enrol their own children in govt schools. Then watch how quickly our govt schools magically improve.
Why do all of them enrol their kids in private schools? Do they not trust their own work?
Dr. Ajay Shah on single rate GST system in India :
“Everywhere where the GST works well, it’s a single rate system. So just have one rate. My dream would be 10%.”
“Because it’s too complicated to keep track of classification. The prime brain power of country should be put into productive uses.”
“So trying to beat a lousy system made by government is an unproductive use.”

I worked in Sri Lanka (Colombo) for nearly two years, consulting for MTN (Dialog Telekom), during the peak of the LTTE war (2007–2009).
Believe me, it rains there like cats and dogs for months - May to September, and again November to January.
Yet, even when the country was dealing with an almost civil-war-like situation, I never saw roads crumble because of rains the way ours do every monsoon. So frustrating!
This is how Colombo looks these days.
