despite repeated promises, phone calls, emails and Twitter interactions with Jio customer care.
I would like this issue resolved by EOD today (Monday, Jan 13th) or I will be discontinuing my service along with a report to TRAI for breach of QOS requirements.
Experience with trying to get a new Jio Airfibre connection and the terrible response from Jio and their customer service team @JioCare
I signed up for Jio on Monday, Ja 6th. The KYC and initial install experience went well, issue started when the router did not come online
It's now the 11th (5 days post booking) and an escalation with request number SR000026VW0Y was opened with a promise to have a resolution by Jan 12th, this promise remains unfulfilled. We are now a week into post installation and remain without internet connectivity,
@JioCare Is this what you consider "the earliest"? An escalation that was supposed to be solved yesterday. All I've received from Jio is empty promises and false closure of service requests
@JioCare JioAirFibre connection rpoor customer service and delayed response with regards to service number SR00026UEQ0. This issue was raised 3 days ago and pending
This is unacceptable, I'm considering cancelling the service and requesting a refund of all fees paid to Jio.
@JioCare Hi,
Today marks one week since Installation and trying to get this issue resolved. If this is the due diligence expected from Jio then please come take your equipment away and refund my money. I'm not interested in the service if the issue is not resolved in the first half today
@JioCare It is now 5:50 PM and a resolution to this issue was promised by Jio by 1:44 PM (screenshot below). The internet connectivity hasn't been restored and neither has Jio customer reached out with any meaningful contact. I will be submitting a complaint to TRAI for breach of QOS code
@JioCare I either want the issue solved today as or used in the escalation or want the service cancelled and all fees refunded. Otherwise, we will be calling the CS head tomorrow and visiting the Nodal officer. @TRAI will be notified too for non-compliance with QOS rules.
@JioCare Jio jas closed the service request and cancelled the engineer visit. They think the issue is solved. We continue to suffer with no connectivity since installation and nothing from Jio apart from empty promises and an escalation. I have emailed the Nodal officer and CS head.
@JioCare This is unacceptable. The escalation is now delayed for another 24 hours. The issue has been diagnosed as a faulty outdoor unit 3 days ago, issuing a technician with a new outdoor unit shouldn't take 4 days.
@aswinmillyrock @gateklons@troyhunt Seems like the Aadhar number is in the dataset. That doesn't mean the Aadhaar data itself has leaked but with phone number + Aadhar number, getting the data is trivial.
@troyhunt @aswinmillyrock @gateklons It's a combination of it being hard and no consequences for leaks. If this leak is proven to be legitimate, I doubt anything will come off it. It'll barely be a footnote in the news cycle.
@troyhunt I just noticed the dataset apparently has address proof and identity proof details too. Checkout what documents are valid for POI and POA and the scope of this breach has just increased . We may see PAN details Bank statements, DL, Passports, Voter ID, vehicle RC.
@aswinmillyrock @troyhunt@gateklons Telecoms are required to keep all of that databas part of their KYC records.
About leaks, @troyhunt take an image of an Aadhar card and run a reverse image search. You'll find a trove of open directories filled with Aadhar card scans. No one seems to care.
