I absolutely love this. You can see DT subject progression, high value is obviously given to the subject in school and children are inspired to look forward to projects they will undertake in their future. Wish I had thought of this for my school.

Y6 explored Hannah Höch’s take on collaging. They loved playing around with photos to create some photomontage pieces of their own. Here are some examples of their fabulous mood boards 🦵🏼 @RoundhayY6 @RhayPrimaryHead

Y6 then linked that to their Egyptians unit and finished with creating the most eye-catching pieces. Lots of hard work went into these outcomes and we are super impressed, well done @RoundhayY6 💎

Inspired by their core text, The Explorer, Y5 created tropical flowers this half term. We were in awe of Susan Schenk’s so had to give it a go ourselves 🌺 @RoundhayY5

Focusing on Nancy Standlee’s work, Y3 have produced the ‘sweetest’ cupcakes this half term. Beautiful intricate detailing 🧁

We are so proud of our DT outcomes this half term! We have learnt about product research, design boards, steps to success and planned different designs. We came up with our final design and worked hard on our precision and cutting to make our outcomes match our designs. 🪁🎈🌸🐝
