I would like the record to show that I enjoy working with 98% of my clients, you're just not going to see much of it on here because "I had a client call today and it went fine" just doesn't make for good Twitter
It's wild to me that 2848, a form that gives someone full access to a taxpayer's info and allows them to act on their behalf, has no way to make sure that the acts authorized on page 1 were actually signed off on by the taxpayer, whose signature goes on page 2
@W_Holtsman There is actually a part of me that has considered filing all client’s kids’ returns for free bc it may very well be less of a headache than having to deal with a half dozen (or more!) efile rejects every year
Update: all three outstanding 8879s got signed and I just submitted by last e-file batch of the season
As for the tournament...was leading my flight through 18 but let's just say after a week of working late nights my body was not ready for a full day of golf 🫣
@DebFoxFinancial I've actually played in this tournament twice with results at either end of the spectrum: first time was an unmitigated flameout, second time I came thisclose to winning, will be interesting to see which version shows up this time!
One underrated thing I learned at my last job was how to communicate with clients near deadlines in a way that conveys urgency without inducing panic in your clients. It’s a tough balance!
@frankwsnc@DeaconSports@UVAFootball Probably as his parents celebrated the one-year anniversary of the first edition of Wake's new black vs orange tradition https://t.co/joZ8Dkj4mF
@DeaconSports@UVAFootball Maybe the actual genesis of the ACC was Wake playing a black vs orange game on 10/31 for the first time in 1942 and everyone thinking "oh man we gotta do this more often"
Wake games on 10/31 prior to the ACC:
1942 Clemson!
1936 Presbyterian
1931 Erskine
1925 Guilford
1914 Roanoke
@Pblissit31@DeaconSports@UVAFootball Also I picture the schedule makers banging their heads against the wall trying to make 2015 work and then someone just popped their head up and said "hey if we just have Wake-Louisville on Friday 10/30 the Halloween streak is still alive" and everyone went YES and hit publish
@Pblissit31@DeaconSports@UVAFootball I knew the last 20 years thing bc I remembered being mad Miami didn't wear orange on 10/31/09 (IIRC they wore their orange alts often back then)
But to see it's happened EVERY time for the last half-century...can't be a coincidence

@DeaconSports@UVAFootball OK this sent me down the rabbit hole, and since joining the ACC Wake is 10/11 playing orange teams on Halloween
1998 UVa
1992 Clemson
1987 Clemson
1981 Clemson?!?
1970 TENNESSEE!!!
1964 Memphis (not orange, but tiger mascot!)
1959 UVa
1953 Clemson
