Washington State & Oregon State are mid-major programs that were grandfathered in as power teams. They would have offered little to the Big 12.

b) yes, playing ND in the middle & end of the season volunteered us for an annual competitive disadvantage that no other team in the country had to face. Which is why we sought to move the game to the beginning of the season.
