@CarlBovisNature Large numbers of magpies finally made me stop feeding birds in our back garden after many years. One of the very few birds that turned up regularly afterwards was a goldcrest: he came to drink from our pond. Your magnificent photo reminded me of the joy we'd feel
@CharlotteCGill Charlotte, I really wish you all the best and hope you regain good health. For what it's worth, I think you should double your Vitamin D intake.
@MrsEmmaWebber Emma, George Harrison was dead within 2 years of being attacked in his home. His attacker apologised and said he'd forgotten to take his medication. So he becomes the victim.... and his indefinite detention lasts 18 or 19 months. Very suspicious and totally appalling.
@drsanjoykumar I find any mention of Benny Hill amusing, Dr Kumar, so bonus points to you. Most of your posts usually make me tearful so I continue to admire your resolve. God bless you
@womensart1 Every time I see a painting of hers, I think about her having to sit and observe the Nuremberg war trials. She must have been a very special person
@DrHelenFry .... chocolate having disappeared from German shops, but available to POWs in Colditz. I love your posts, Dr Fry, even the ones that make me tearful
@DrHelenFry I'm pretty sure that Airey Neave made his way to the Baltic and then onto a ship. I often mull over his commitment to never ever attracting any attention; he did allow himself a small piece of chocolate once on a bus as he felt safe. He looked up and everyone was staring at him..
