The Voting Rights Act was won through courageous organizing, sacrifice, and disciplined nonviolence, but its promise remains unfinished.
Voting protections have been weakened, and barriers continue to threaten the voices of eligible voters. Congress must act with urgency to restore the Voting Rights Act, strengthen protections against discrimination, and expand fair access to the ballot.
Watch and share this video. Then contact your senators and representative and demand action. Check your voter registration, learn the election dates in your community, and help others prepare to vote.

For years now I’ve been saying Republican leadership is a failure. The state legislature has been run by republicans for over a decade. Jeff is their prize pick and he’s a failure too.
Racism is expensive and it doesn’t increase jobs or profits.
One of these days yall gone believe me and help send these trash leaders home.

We don’t have a voter registration problem in Louisiana — we have a voter turnout problem.
Part of that is because too few people are consistently engaging our communities, organizing, and educating people.
That’s why I’m working to bring Civics for the People to Shreveport and New Orleans next month. Knowledge and turnout go hand in hand. We need both if we’re serious about changing our outcomes.
If you believe in this work, click the link in my bio and support Civics for the People so we can keep informing, organizing, and moving people to action.
Numbers don’t lie.
