The show just feels like a weird catalyst of the late Monty Oum and makes me question every narrative decision they make.

My breaking point that I knew this show was bad was at V4. Most of my circle noticed in V5. We are now getting a V10, and I got to say, I'll be watching but it's most likely still not going to be good. In fact I now believe even V1-3 were only good bc of Monty's fight scenes.
