These are very serious allegations and if true it is really shameful how an official at such a senior post is being harassed.
Bank Officers upto Scale III have left the official WhatsApp groups created by Bank Management. Officers say - Maximum branch heads are Scale II and Scale III and the branches bring business. Scale IV and above are mainly in management roles. Thus maximum PLI should be paid to Officers upto Scale III as they work on ground level.

DFS says only top 5% (Scale IV+) deserve fat PLI up to 360 days' pay, while 95%+ grind daily for 15 days max.
But PSBs smashed records: ₹52,603 cr profit in Q3 FY26 (up 18% YoY), profit per employee ₹19.6 lakh in FY25 > private banks' ₹14.5 lakh!
reality is... branch wale chai peene ke time bhi business kar rahe hote hain, aur ye log 'top performers' ko privatization ka bonus baant rahe hain.

The DFS Secretary is out here asking banks to lower lending rates like he’s at a flea market, conveniently forgetting that the Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio is hitting 82%+.
Asking for cheaper loans when banks are literally fighting for every rupee of deposit is like asking a baker to lower bread prices while the price of flour just tripled. The math just isn't mathing, sir
@DFS_India@RBI@RBIsays@FinMinIndia
Had a heated moment at work today.
We were discussing the PLI when I spoke up about the discrimination.
The AGM took it personally, telling me to respect the sacrifices made by the higher authorities above Scale-IV to reach there.
I have total respect for the journey to the top, but the sacrifice of the staff at the bottom is what keeps the branch running daily.Why can't we talk about both?What do you think?
Is speaking up undignified?

The commitment to a five-day workweek in the banking sector has remained pending for far too long.
This delay is no longer acceptable. A 5 day workweek is not a concession—it is a matter of dignity, employee health, .5 Days banking is the need of the hour
#5DaysWeekForBankers
A 5-day work week is not a concession, but a long-pending reform agreed in principle in IBA–union bipartite talks.
The commitment is on record. Implement now—or action is inevitable.
