पुण्यात अन्न व औषध प्रशासनाचा धडाकेबाज छापा!

भेसळयुक्त पनीर आणि दुग्धजन्य पदार्थांविरोधात मोठी मोहीम राबवत प्रशासनाने पुण्यात तब्बल ४७ लाख ३६ हजार रुपयांचा संशयीत साठा जप्त केला आहे. यामध्ये २,८०६ किलो पनीर, १३,१२७ किलो खवा, १३८ किलो चीज ॲनलॉग आणि ९६० किलो तुपाचा समावेश आहे. 'सेफ फूड, सेफ ड्रग, सेफ महाराष्ट्र' मोहिमेअंतर्गत सोमवार पेठ, बुधवार पेठ, शुक्रवार पेठ, कोथरूड आणि हडपसर परिसरात ही कारवाई करण्यात आली असून खवा, पनीर, चीज ॲनलॉग आणि तूपाचे ३५ नमुने तपासणीसाठी घेण्यात आले आहेत.
केवळ पुण्यातच नव्हे, तर राज्यभरात प्रतिबंधित गुटखा आणि घातक पदार्थांविरोधात १ ते ५ जून या काळात १९५ छापे टाकून १९२ जणांना अटक करण्यात आली आहे. या मोहिमेत राज्यभरातून १ कोटी ९९ लाख १८ हजार ४७५ रुपयांचा प्रतिबंधित साठा जप्त करण्यात आला आहे. यासोबतच पिंपरी-चिंचवडमध्ये सहा व्यक्तींविरुद्ध एफआयआर दाखल करण्यात आला असून भारतीय न्याय संहितेच्या विविध कलमांनुसार ही कारवाई करण्यात आली आहे.

शेतकऱ्यांनी पेरणीची घाई करू नये!

राज्यात 1 जूनपासून काही भागांत वादळी पावसाची शक्यता असली, तरी त्याचा मान्सूनशी कोणताही संबंध नाही, कारण मान्सून अद्याप केरळ येथे पोहोचलेला नाही. सध्याच्या परिस्थितीनुसार राज्यातील बहुतांश भागांमध्ये किमान 10 जूनपर्यंत मान्सूनच्या आगमनाची शक्यता नसल्याचे स्पष्ट झाले आहे.
विदर्भ, मराठवाडा, मध्य महाराष्ट्र, खानदेश तसेच कोकणातील काही भागांत दुपारनंतर ढगाळ वातावरण आणि वादळी पावसाचा अंदाज व्यक्त करण्यात आला आहे. यामुळे तापमानात काही प्रमाणात घट होण्याची शक्यता असली, तरी पूर्व विदर्भातील काही भागांमध्ये उष्णतेचा प्रभाव कायम राहू शकतो.
शेतकरी बांधवांनी मान्सूनपूर्व वादळी पावसावर अवलंबून राहून पेरणीची घाई करू नये. योग्य आणि स्थिर पावसाची खात्री झाल्यानंतरच पेरणीचे नियोजन करावे.
विजांच्या कडकडाटाच्या वेळी विशेष खबरदारी घ्यावी. झाडाखाली, टिनशेडखाली, वीज खांब, ट्रान्सफॉर्मर किंवा विद्युत वाहिन्यांच्या जवळ थांबणे टाळा. स्वतःची तसेच पाळीव जनावरांची सुरक्षितता सुनिश्चित करावी.

I'm saying this after visiting 10-12 unisex gyms what I saw wasn't normal.

A serious request to every husband:

Don't blindly send your wife alone to the gym. Go with her, or at least make sure you know what's happening inside.

In most places, I noticed the same pattern. Married women getting too comfortable with trainers, and trainers crossing limits in the name of "guidance" unnecessary touching, over-involvement, zero professionalism.

You may trust the environment but do you really know what happens when you're not there?

This isn't insecurity. It's awareness.

And honestly what kind of husband doesn't even check once?

Or maybe the truth is simple both sides are just busy, in different places.

Visited the much-hyped @RameshwaramCafe in Mumbai. They recommended Aamras, which I ordered only to regret it later. When it arrived the fragrance of Hapus was missing, in Mumbai restaurants, we are always served Alphonso Aamras, but this was not Hapus Aam, and the staff couldn’t even tell me which mango they used. The taste was bad and I told the staff too when they asked for review.

Though their Bisibele Bhath was decent, I still prefer Ramashray. Even the filter coffee, I think Matunga serves better.

The West poured $50 billion into fast breeder nuclear reactors and abandoned every single one. India poured $900 million and just achieved criticality on the first commercially viable one outside Russia.

The US spent $15 billion. Gave up. Japan spent $12 billion. Their Monju prototype had one sodium fire in 1995 and never recovered. The UK spent $8 billion. Germany spent $6 billion. France, Italy, all walked away. Six of the richest nations on Earth concluded this technology was too hard and too expensive to pursue.

India started building in 2004 with an initial budget of $420 million. Twenty-two years, a dozen missed deadlines, and a cost doubling later, the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam just sustained a controlled fission chain reaction. The reactor is now alive.

The reason India never quit is a constraint most people have never thought about. India has only 1-2% of the world's uranium reserves. For a country of 1.4 billion people trying to build energy independence, that's a death sentence if you're running conventional nuclear.

But India has 25% of the world's thorium. The single largest national reserve on Earth.

The problem: you can't just burn thorium the way you burn uranium. A physicist named Homi Bhabha designed a three-stage nuclear program in the 1950s specifically to solve this. Stage 1: burn natural uranium in heavy water reactors, collect plutonium as a byproduct. Stage 2: feed that plutonium into fast breeder reactors, where it breeds MORE plutonium AND converts thorium into fissile uranium-233. Stage 3: burn thorium directly at scale.

India just entered Stage 2. Seventy years after Bhabha drew it up on paper.

The math on the thorium endgame is wild. At current energy consumption rates, India's thorium reserves could power the country for over 700 years. Most nuclear nations are playing a uranium game with maybe 80-100 years of runway. India is playing a completely different game with a 7x longer fuel supply.

The West quit because uranium stayed cheap and sodium coolant is terrifying. It catches fire on contact with air. It explodes on contact with water. Russia's BN-600 had 27 sodium leaks and 14 sodium fires between 1980 and 1997. And Russia kept going anyway because Russia doesn't quit nuclear projects. India watched all of that and kept going too.

When you have 1% of the uranium but 25% of the thorium, the engineering difficulty stops being a reason to quit. It becomes the price of admission to a 700-year energy supply that nobody else can access.

If he survived, he was rewarded—not with applause, but with another chance to improve.

There is a story Sachin often recalls with moist eyes. Achrekar Sir would place a one-rupee coin on top of the stumps. If Sachin batted the entire session without getting out, the coin was his. If he failed, the coin went to someone else. Sachin won many matches later in life—but he has said that those coins were the most valuable trophies he ever earned.

Achrekar Sir taught him more than cricket.
He taught him humility in success.
He taught him silence in failure.
He taught him that talent can make you famous—but character makes you worthy.

Years later, when the stadiums roared, when millions chanted his name, when records bowed before him—Sachin never forgot one truth:
He was great because someone once believed in him enough to be strict.

That is why Sachin once said:

“I may be called the God of Cricket, but for me, my coach was always above God.”

And that is why this line feels written for their bond:

गुरु गोविंद दोऊ खड़े, काके लागू पाय।

Because one may become a legend…

वडिलांशी झालेल्या किरकोळ वादाचा राग एका निर्दयी व्यक्तीने चक्क चार वर्षांच्या निष्पाप चिमुरड्यावर काढल्याने परिसरात तीव्र संताप व्यक्त होत आहे.

वसई पश्चिमेच्या अनुपम घर संकुल या सोसायटीत राहणारे अतुल कोंढारे यांचा त्याच सोसायटीत राहणारा व व्यवसायाने रिक्षा चालवणारा आरोपी संदीप पवार याच काही दिवसापूर्वी किरकोळ अंतर्गत वाद झाला होता. सोमवारी सायंकाळी साडेसातच्या दरम्यान सोसायटीतील लहान मुलं खेळत असताना, अतुल कोंढारे यांचा चार वर्षाचा मुलगा विघ्नेश हा देखील मुलांबरोबर खेळत होता. खेळता खेळता विघ्नेश हा रिक्षात बसला. त्याचवेळी आरोपी संदीप हा रिक्षाजवळ आला आणि त्याने इतर मुलांना हाकलून दिलं. त्याने विघ्नेशला पकडून त्याचं डोक रिक्षाच्या मिटरच्या बाजूला असलेल्या लोखंडी अँगलवरती आपटलं. त्याला रिक्षातून पायाला धरून जोरात खेचलं आणि त्याच पाय पकडून जोरात हवेत भिरकावत डोक्यावर आपटलं.

आरोपी संदीप वर वसई पोलीस ठाण्यात बी.एन.एस. कलम 109(1), 115(2), 351,(3), 352 सह अल्पवयीन न्याय (मुलांची काळजी आणि संरक्षण) 201 चे कलम 75 प्रमाणे गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला असून,त्याला अटक करण्यात आली आहे. संदीपला आपल्या कृत्याबद्दल जरासाही पश्चाताप वाटत नव्हता. 'मी बदला घेतला' अशा आवारभावात तो निर्लज्जपणे सोसायटी सदस्यांना हा सगळा प्रकार सांगत होता.

ही घटना वाचून मन सुन्न होतं. एका निष्पाप चिमुरड्यावर राग काढण्याइतकी माणुसकी हरवली आहे, हे समाजासाठी धोक्याचं चिन्ह आहे. अशी अमानवी कृती घडते, तेव्हा राज्याची प्रतिमा खरंच ढासळते.

अशा घटनांवर कठोर कारवाई होणं गरजेचं आहे.
