@CynthiaBrock_@judy__lucas@ithacavoice The community’s hesitancy isn’t related to low staffing. It is, and has been for almost a decade, lack of trust in law enforcement and the inability to solve crimes. There is a full dashboard of data if the public wants to see hard numbers.
@atgenevieve@NYWFP Drawing petulant lines doesn’t get potholes filled. It would seem that I overestimated your candidates commitment to actionable progress.
@atgenevieve@NYWFP I have helped multiple wfp party candidates get elected, at the state and local level. And I’m not begging. I saying that we all need to be working on it. As a community. Or are your candidates unwilling to represent the voters they propose to represent?
@michelehirsch9@JorgeDeFendini I’ve reached out to @JorgeDeFendini multiple times to meet and learn more. I’ve had no response. I hope we can work together in the future to support both tenants and foster quality landlords so our renters are safe.
@Katie5ims I’d note that the slate signs were not removed. Mine were added. Had she removed slate signs, I would have removed mine as well. It’s not suppression, it’s communication and progress we are looking for.
@Katie5ims I had a very long conversation with that landlord about the importance of tenants rights and the need to support honest community centric landlords. If your friend has issues with the landlord I encourage communication, I’d also be happy to speak to with them
