Excited to share my 1st podcast discussing how to optimize aerosol drug delivery during HFNC therapy. We also published: “Dos and Don’ts to Optimize Aerosol Drug Delivery in Clinical Practice” in Expert Opinion on Drug Delivery. Here are key clinical takeaways for you #TXST#hfnc
Practices to avoid:
• Avoid placing the nebulizer too close to the patient unless using synchronized small-particle mesh devices or very low flow
• Do not turn off the humidifier during transnasal aerosol delivery
• Avoid using a face mask over HFNC during aerosol therapy
