It feels good to get new followers, and even better to get a new Patron. But nothing compares to the feeling when someone BOOSTS your Discord Server. That's True Love.
I recognize that DungeonLand might be a bit much for certain people to handle. But if I can brighten the life of one Femboy Catgirl, I've made a positive difference.
@l_u_n_a13 The typical liberal describes themselves as a person who cares. Then when they meet a person who's actually suffering, they give them a hotline number and walk away, still thinking "I am the kind of person who cares."
@l_u_n_a13 The literal word "love" doesn't have to be used, the same dynamic applies to all kinds of "positive" feelings. They are typically positive only when they feel positive *subjectively*.
This is *normal*, *common*. Monkey brains.
Google the jewish maxim about "fish love."
@l_u_n_a13 The funny thing is, you still find weird residue of the net's initial anticapitalist slant: like the fact that everyone expects content to be free, and anyone who tries to promote their product is viewed as a spammer unless they're in their own grift territory.
I've always done something I think people call "Executive Dysfunction" when it happens to them, but it never feels like dysfunction to me. Something's processing in the background, but I only have a dim idea of what it is. Sit quietly. No reason to fret. It has its own reasons.
@PrimevalFantasy@EricDiaz_RPG Agreed, but with different terms. My style is Experiential, and my target is Affect, my epistemology is Postmodern. There's no objective POV: each PC views their own reality, even if they share many details, their interpretations are *always* subjective, and I play to them.
@l_u_n_a13 I don't have family, but I have a wife and a kid. There are 2 ways this works:
1. "I remember something that happened once, so that makes me right about now."
2. "I know a fact about you, so that means I know you better than you know yourself."
Both assume nothing ever changes.
@jdmcdonnell Artists need to work on their sales techniques.
Once a month at least I get a random "friend" on Discord (yeah they're an artist looking for work but they refuse to say so): they start the conversation with "Hi. How are you?"
BUSY, THAT'S HOW I AM.
GET TO THE POINT OR GO AWAY.
@RedbubbleHelp I've tried all three options but the account page will not save my payment info. It says "Edit Payment Details", no matter whether I give you Paypal info or my Bank info. So you have all my info now, and I still have no way to get paid.
