The funeral of Ashraf, a Malayali Muslim youth killed by a Hindutva mob on Sunday in Karnataka’s Mangaluru, was held today at Cholakkundu Juma Masjid in Kerala’s Malappuram district.

Ashraf was mentally unstable, his family told Maktoob.

Over 20 RSS-Bajrang Dal men have been arrested in the case, which now includes sections related to mob lynching.

Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara said he was informed that there were reports of Ashraf shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” during a local cricket match, which allegedly led to the attack. However, local leaders insist this is a false allegation spread by Hindutva members.

A video of Gopal Mishra in the Bahraich violence has surfaced. He is seen forcefully removing a Green flag and replacing it with a saffron flag. The mob can be seen shouting slogans and encouraging him to remove the flag. Gopal was shot dead later.

So Gopal Mishra entered a Muslim home with ladies and children (it's safe to assume). 

Tore the green flag and destroyed the patio railing and wall. And raised a saffron flag from there. Later, he was fatally shot.

Now there are two points to consider here: 

1. What would you do if a hooligan entered your home? What gives somebody the right to enter a home without permission? 

Here, the issue is even worse; he practically damaged the property by tearing down the railing and wall. Consider the state of the women and children in the residence. 

It must have been a horrifying experience. But above that this is deeply unlawful. 

2. However, there is one more consideration. Gopal was only 22. 

You would never see a BJP politician's son do something like this.

It's only the common people who after being incited by Sanghis do stupid things and pay the price. 

Both these points are valid in this case and both are tragic.
