The Public Safety Act, 1978 (PSA) was introduced by Sheikh  Abdullah in 1978 to deal with smuggling. Farooq Abdullah, G. M. Shah,Mufti  Sayeed, GN Azad, Omar Abdullah & Mehbooba Mufti have all been CMs of J&K. They could have easily repealed PSA & prevented untold suffering and human rights violations.

The law has been misused by virtually every elected CM & unelected Governors. Over 20,000 people have been jailed since 1978 without criminal charges, fair trials or even a proper appeals process.

Some detentions were extended for up to 7-12 years. One separatist was detained under the PSA and, when he was later needed, he was served with a court warrant and granted bail. Now there is a truncated elected govt, and it has dawned on it to do away with the PSA.

एक प्रतिभाशाली और स्वप्नदर्शी छात्र रोहित वेमुला को दुनिया छोड़े हुए आज 8 साल हो गए।

जाते जाते रोहित वंचितों के संघर्षों का प्रतीक, अनगिनत लोगों की प्रेरणा बन गया। उसकी कहानी ने समाज का एक कड़वा सच फिर उजागर किया कि जीवन सबके लिए एक जैसा नहीं है।

मुझे संतोष है कि आज हम उस व्यवस्था से लड़ रहे हैं, जिसने रोहित जैसे अनेकों आदर्शवादी युवाओं की आकांक्षाओं को हराया है।

मैं उम्मीद करता हूं कि हमारा संघर्ष एक ऐसी न्यायपूर्ण व्यवस्था को जन्म देगा जहां कोई और रोहित वेमुला हारेगा नहीं, बल्कि उसके सपनों को नई उड़ान मिलेगी, बराबरी का हक़ मिलेगा। ऐसी ही व्यवस्था सही मायने में रोहित को सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि होगी।

1Why did the PM and HM give specific investment advice to the 5 crore families investing in the stock market?

2What is the connection between the BJP, the fake exit pollsters, and the dubious foreign investors who invested one day before the exit polls and made a huge profit at the expense of 5 crore Indian families?

3Why were both interviews (PM and HM) given to the same media house, owned by the same business group, which is also under SEBI investigation for manipulating the stock market?

We demand a JPC to investigate this. We are convinced it’s a SCAM. Someone has made thousands of crores at the expense of Indian retail investors. This is a criminal act - @RahulGandhi!
