With just under a year to go until the smokefree generation takes effect, ASH CEO @HazelCheeseman has written to retailers to discuss what the policy means for businesses and highlight the long-term benefits of the policy for retailers and for children’s health.
The letter also highlights the declining importance of tobacco for retailers🚭
ASH analysis shows tobacco margins of around 8.5%, compared to higher margins on other categories. As smoking rates fall, the shift away from tobacco creates shelf space for more profitable products🛒
