އޮންލައިންކޮށް ބޭއްވި މި ބައްދަލުކުރެއްވުމުގައި، ދަނޑުވެރިކަމުގެ ދާއިރާގައި ދިމާވާ ގޮންޖެހުންތަކާއި، ދަތިތަކާ ގުޅޭ މަޢުލޫމާތު ރަމްޒީ ވަނީ ވަޒީރާ ހިއްސާކުރައްވާފައެވެ. މި ގޮންޖެހުންތަކަށް ޙައްލެއް ހޯއްދަވައިދެއްވުމަށް ވުޒާރާގެ ފަރާތުން މަސައްކަތް ކުރައްވާނެ ކަމުގެ ފުރިހަމަ ޔަޤީންކަން ވަޒީރު ދެއްވިއެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން، ދަނޑުވެރިކަން ކުރިއެރުވުމަށްޓަކައި ވުޒާރާއާ ގުޅިގެން ކުރިއަށް ގެންދެވިދާނެ ކަންތައްތަކާ ގުޅޭގޮތުން ދެފަރާތުން ވަނީ ފުޅާ ދާއިރާއެއްގައި މަޝްވަރާކުރައްވާފައެވެ.

We are honoured to announce the commencement of the Sixth Maldives Marine Science Symposium 2026.

The Symposium was inaugurated by the Minister @Shiyamaldives . In his inaugural address, the Minister encouraged participants to strengthen collaborations, build new professional connections, support the development of Maldivian research capacity, and engage in meaningful discussions that will shape the future of marine science in the Maldives. He also underscored the importance of conducting marine scientific research in accordance with national regulations to ensure research is well coordinated, conducted responsibly, and contributes to a comprehensive body of knowledge.

The Sixth Maldives Marine Science Symposium 2026 is organized by the Maldives Marine Research Institute in partnership with the Maldives National University.

The Symposium reflects the continued commitment to advancing marine research, strengthening collaboration, and promoting the sustainable management of the Maldives' ocean resources.

The Maldives–Türkiye Preferential Trade Agreement (MTPTA) enters into force today, marking a significant milestone in strengthening economic cooperation between the Maldives and Türkiye.

Building on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's vision of expanding international trade partnerships and creating new opportunities for the Maldivian economy, the Agreement provides enhanced preferential market access for Maldivian fisheries exports through tariff concessions covering 75 tariff lines, opening access to Türkiye's market of more than 85 million consumers.

This milestone strengthens the competitiveness of Maldivian fisheries products, expands export opportunities, and supports the sustainable growth of one of the Maldives' most important export industries.
