I learned while trading stocks that if I could hold but the market can't, I still lose money. I paid good for that wisdom.
Today 50,000 first home buyers are facing the prospect of owing more than their property is worth.
@dannolan I was living there when they put those rules in place and funnily enough the very next summer in 2022 England hit 40 degrees for the first time in recorded history. Was hell.
Talk about a non-issue. Had no material impact on the game. Hawthorn did it unknowingly. Butt hurt pies fans need to quibble why Scott Pendlebury missed crucial games that could’ve been won so he could have his circle jerk at the MCG instead of this one.
The AFL is aware that its interchange steward missed a rotation in this game - which led to its count for Hawthorn reading 75, when it should have read 76.
The league now knows that when Jack Gunston walked onto the field - which it officially acknowledged as the Hawks’ 75th rotation on the night… was actually Hawthorn’s 76th.
Hawthorn believed it still had one more interchange to use.
The AFL miscounted Hawthorn’s rotations in the first quarter at the 20 minute mark.
Four players came off. The league counted three.
The league refused to speak to Channel 7 after it was flagged on the Agenda Setters last night.
Instead, opting to release quotes from an interview with its own media platform - AFL Media.

@disco___cat@clairlemon “Treasury advised the government that if a reduced CGT concession applied only to housing, investors could simply set up private companies or alter their asset structures to circumvent the housing-specific rules and retain their tax benefits.” Daft reasoning to fuck everything up
@MultiCamSitcom Grass isn’t always greener. Harvey has had opportunities and didn’t keep them because he didn’t work hard enough defensively. Disposal numbers is the most overrated stat in the comp. Let’s not act like it’s some travesty he’s not in the squad.
@FletcherWDSU@FearTheBrown Can’t put together a competent offense and still struggled in a trash eastern conference. Banchero hated him by the end. Trey Murphy will request a trade by next season because Mosley is a rah-rah coach and has no clue about X’s and O’s.
Every story that comes out about the northern academies the more I want them neutered. The northern clubs since 2000 have been in a ridiculous amount of Grand Finals and they still act like they’ve got it tough.
EXCLUSIVE | A Sydney benefactor who ploughs $1 million into the northern academies every year is reconsidering his agreement with the AFL after the league’s decision to further restrict the northern clubs’ access to homegrown talent https://t.co/fmr90NDAG1
@emac_23 Same happened with North and Nick Blakey. Only lived there because his dad’s job was there and stayed for friends. North miss out and he would’ve been the same player with or without the Swans academy. Father sons should only be academy eligible if the F/S club passes.
"For a team that's been starved of finals performances..."
Have the Roos made a mistake in selling home games to WA?

@real2023Oz@bowtiedstocks@parnellpalme You’re confused. The Australian Pension is not the same as the UK pension. In the UK it’s something you pay into. Here it’s just Centrelink payments for the elderly not a god given right.
The basketball gods didn’t appreciate Bill Simmons swapping his MVP pick to Jokic when it was clearly wrong and now they’re punishing him with The Celtics getting bounced in the first round.
Andrew needs to cut a cheque to North Melbourne then for Nick Blakey which they did absolutely squat to turn into a football player. The AFL funds a large part of their academy also so Swans can stick it.
Sydney chairman Andrew Pridham says teams that draft players out of northern Academies should have to pay a fee of $200,000 to the club that developed the player after the AFL's bidding changes were unveiled 👀

The Trail Blazers are widely expected to move on from interim coach Tiago Splitter.
New owner Tom Dundon is not willing to increase Splitter’s current salary.
Portland is trying to find a new head coach who will accept being the lowest paid in the NBA as a cost-cutting measure.

Armed officers are heard yelling, "Stay down!"
Covid happened then they went into a horrific rebuild and were no longer competitive. Not rocket science. It will be a novelty in Tas with high numbers early then it will fizzle out when they’re not winning games. Bookmark it.
